Fly-Sight uses a 200mW 5.8GHz transmitter.
The single cell 850 mAh battery is good for over an hour of transmission. The battery is recharged via micro USB plug like most cell phones.
Fly-Sight comes with multiple bases so it can be moved from one plane to another easily. Each base has a small circuit that can be set by switch to either turn on the fly sight when it is connected to the base, or with a connection to your receiver so that the Fly-Sight powers up when your receiver is powered. (Fly-Sight uses its internal battery for power so this won’t affect your flight times.)
The shell is made from SLS nylon. (Why? To avoid tooling costs, to give more flexibility upgrading the design.)
